Police halt durian give-away in Parit Buntar for SOP violations


IPOH: A free durian distribution event had to be halted by police in Parit Buntar as the crowd failed to observe the standard operating procedure.

Kerian OCPD Supt Mazuki Mat said an investigation paper has been opened on the organiser who gave away durians under a bridge in Jalan Temenggong - Jalan Sekolah on Friday at 4pm.

“A police team from Parit Buntar, was dispatched to the site, and found many people waiting to get the durians,” he said on a Facebook post on the Kerian police's page.
