Covid-19: 221 hospitals treating patients nationwide, says Health Minister


PETALING JAYA: There are 221 hospitals treating Covid-19 patients nationwide, says Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba (pic).

“To date, 104 out of 146 Health Ministry hospitals, six teaching university hospitals, 112 private hospitals and one Malaysian Armed Forces hospital (are treating Covid-19 patients)," said the Health Minister.

He added in a briefing in the Dewan Rakyat that 11 hospitals under the Health Ministry are fully dedicated to treating Covid-19 patients, while the rest are also treating non-Covid-19 patients

He also said that there were 180 Covid-19 Assessment Centres that were set, adding that virtual CACs were established to serve residents in the Greater Klang Valley.
