Fire damages factory in Tasek Gelugor


BUTTERWORTH: A factory in Tasek Gelugor, Kepala Batas here was 70% damaged due to a fire, says the Penang Fire and Rescue Department

The Department said that they received a distress call at 7.07pm on Sunday (July 18).

“When the Fire and Rescue Team arrived at the scene, it was found that the fire involved the machines and raw materials including some cloth. The area of the factory was estimated to be 100x60 sq ft and it was around 70% burnt,”

The fire stations involved include Kepala Batas and Bertam and the Tasek Gelugor voluntary squad.
