Sun bear found caught in snare near oil palm plantation in Kedah


The picture of the Sun Bear which was found trapped by believed to be 'jerat bidai' or 'chiding babi' inside a bush of an oil palm plantation at Ladang Sungai Tekai near the Tradewinds Plantation's oil palm plantation in Naka in Padang Terap District , Kedah some 50 km from Alor Setar.

ALOR SETAR: A sun bear was found caught in a snare in a bush at an oil palm plantation at Ladang Sungai Tekai in Padang Terap, Kedah, some 50km from here.

Rubber tapper Affendi Musa, 50, from Kampung Masjid, said he was on his way to tap rubber around 11am at Ladang Sungai Tekai near the Tradewinds Plantation's oil palm plantation, when he noticed a small crowd gathered around something.
