Covid-19: Number of vaccines administered crosses 10 million mark

PETALING JAYA: A total of 10,036,361 doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in Malaysia to date.

In a tweet on Thursday (July 8) Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said 375,842 doses were administered on Wednesday (July 7).

Of the overall total, he said 6,999,554 people had received their first dose and 3,036,807 were fully vaccinated with both doses.

Earlier Thursday , the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) said on its Twitter account that 207,795 people received their first jabs of the vaccine, while 168,047 completed both doses.

It said the five states with the highest number of two-dose vaccinations are Sarawak with 43,834 doses followed by Selangor (30,964); Kuala Lumpur (20,784); Johor (14,146); and Sabah (11,535).

Dr Adham also urged everyone to register for the vaccine using the MySejahtera app, via the website at or to call 1-800 888 828.
