Hisham: I know people's hopes are high, I'll do my best in new role

PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein will take on his new role as Senior Minister (Security) to the best of his ability and has pledged to continue working for the people and the country.

The Foreign Minister said he was aware and humbled that in facing the pandemic, the responsibility before him is heavy and that the people’s hopes are high.

“I believe that only with stability, unity and close cooperation from all parties can we come out of this crisis together.

“Whatever post is entrusted to me, my position remains the same, which is only to serve the people and the country sincerely,” he said in a Facebook post on Wednesday (July 7).

Hishammudin also thanked the Prime Minister for his appointment as Senior Minister.
