Miti: Only companies listed as essential services can operate in areas under Phase One and Two of NRP

PETALING JAYA: Only companies listed as essential services in locations under Phase One and Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) are allowed to operate using the latest Covid-19 Intelligent Management System (CIMS) 3.0 letter.

The International Trade and Industry Ministry (Miti) said that the latest CIMS 3.0 letter will come with the letters “PPN” under its QR code.

“As announced by Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on July 1, the operation of companies in the essential service sectors in enhanced movement control order areas can use the existing CIMS 3.0 letter (with PKP 3.0 acronym), ” it said.

Miti added in a statement on Tuesday (July 6) that CIMS 3.0 letters must be read together with the current enhanced MCO SOPs that are in force.

It also said that non-essential sector companies in enhanced MCO areas are not allowed to operate at all.

“Non-compliance is a legal offence and punishable under the law, ” it added.

The CIMS 3.0 platform is shared with 17 ministries and three agencies in which each application will be processed and approved by the respective ministries or agencies.

Companies are urged to check the status of their applications by referring to the ministry or agency that processes the application according to the directory on www.miti.gov.my.
