Ismail Sabri: 27 premises ordered to close for SOP violations on Monday (July 5)


PUTRAJAYA: Enforcement authorities have ordered 27 premises to close after they were found to have violated standard operating procedures (SOPs).

The offenders include factories, business premises, construction sites and workers hostels.

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pic) said the special task force monitoring SOP compliance had checked 88, 183 premises nationwide on Monday (July 5).

This includes 27, 896 factories, 17, 349 business premises, 727 construction sites and 211 workers hostels.

“The government has stepped up enforcement and carried out more inspections on factories and business premises, after many of them were found to have violated the government’s orders, as well as SOPs.

“The authorities have ordered 27 premises to shut operations for violating the SOP, ” he said on Tuesday (July 6).
