KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 1,867 inspections were conducted on factories and 11,316 business premises on Tuesday (June 29), says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The Senior Minister (Security) said one business premises was ordered to close for violations of Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP).
"We will step up total enforcement in terms of inspections on factories and business premises nationwide.
"Cumulatively, the compliance operation task force conducted a total of 96,975 inspections and snap checks nationwide," he said in a statement on Wednesday (June 30).
Ismail Sabri also clarified that the nation is still under Phase One of the National Recovery Plan (NRP).
"There are still many who are confused and think we have moved to Phase Two.
"The changing of phases for NRP does not depend on any given dates. If we reach three indicators of the threshold value, the movement to the next phase will be conducted as soon as possible," he added.
He hoped the public would adhere to the SOP so that the three indicators could be achieved in a short time.
