Cops issue three compound notices at Teluk Intan factory

IPOH: Three compound notices were issued at a single location while monitoring standard operating procedure (SOP) compliance at factories in Teluk Intan.

Hilir Perak OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Adnan Basri said a factory that exceeded the 60% workforce limit was handed a RM10, 000 compound notice.

The factory owner was also issued a RM1, 500 compound notice as he did not have an operating licence while a worker was handed a RM500 compound notice for failing to check in using the MySejahtera app.

Aside from the police, the Teluk Intan Municipal Council, district Health Department, National Security Council, Immigration Department and the Customs Department also participated in the operation.

"We have conducted checks at 19 factories. None were ordered to close," he added.

ACP Ahmad Adnan urged the respective factory owners to understand and obey the SOP set by the International Trade and Industry Ministry.

"We also suggested measures for the factories to enhance their Covid-19 prevention management," he said.
