PUTRAJAYA: Action against anti-vaccine groups is being considered because their actions are causing concern among the public, said Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.

The Home Minister said herd immunity must be achieved in order to make it safe for the public, given the Covid-19 pandemic.

"It is their individual right not to be vaccinated. But their campaign has unsettled the public," he said after visiting a shopping mall on Friday (June 4).

Hamzah said any action against these groups will be made under an Ordinance during this Emergency period.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the government is considering taking action against anti-vaccine groups.

The Prime Minister also said that JKJAV has been urged to study making vaccination mandatory if the number of registrations does not reach the herd immunity target.
