KUALA LUMPUR: Five customers at a restaurant here were issued compounds by the police for eating in its premises.
Kuala Lumpur Crime Prevention and Community Safety department chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Azman Ayob, in a statement on Wednesday (June 2), said that the compounds were issued earlier today after a check at a shopping complex here.
"The compounds issued were valued at RM20,000, with a RM10,000 compound given to the owner of the premises. The five customers were given a RM2,000 fine each," he said.
He also urged everyone to obey the set SOPs to break the chain of infection.
