Firecracker explodes in man’s hand


GUA MUSANG: A 23-year-old man may lose part of his right hand after a homemade firecracker exploded while he was holding it.

District police chief Supt Sik Choon Foo said the victim also suffered facial injuries and a ruptured eardrum during the 11am incident in Kampung Batu Papan here on Thursday.

The victim was rushed to the Gua Musang Hospital before being transferred to the Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital in Kuala Krai for further treatment.

“The victim is reported to be in stable condition, ” Supt Sik said yesterday. — Bernama
