Singapore-bound barrels of fish with no export permit seized by Johor Maqis


JOHOR BARU: An attempt to smuggle almost RM10,000 worth of fish into Singapore was foiled by the Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services Department (Maqis).

Johor Maqis director Hizzuan Hasim said enforcement personnel found six barrels of fish on a lorry bound for the island republic during an inspection at the complex in Tanjung Kupang here at noon on Sunday (May 9).
