Madius denies backing Perikatan

KOTA KINABALU: Opposition Upko president Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau (pic) has denied speculation that he is joining Perikatan Nasional.

"It is an outright lie and a false report," he said in a live video broadcast via his Facebook page on Monday (March 8).

He said a report quoted in a news portal was irresponsible.

The report claimed that Madius and another Sabah MP were likely to throw support for Perikatan.

The news portal quoted unnamed sources claiming that Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin was to meet two MPs in Kota Kinabalu to finalise their alleged crossovers.
