PETALING JAYA: Social gatherings will be allowed in states that will be placed under the conditional and recovery movement control order (MCO) from Feb 19 to March 4, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
This included weddings, engagements, prayers, and reunions, but limited to 50% capacity of the venue, said the Senior Minister.

“They will be allowed but must comply with the standard operating procedures (SOP),” he said at a press conference on Tuesday (Feb 16).
He said no restrictions are placed on the number of people in a vehicle. It will be based on vehicle capacity.
He said that the various economic sectors would be allowed to operate from 6am to midnight.
He said that dine-ins in restaurants will be allowed according to the table size as long as there is social distancing unlike the two per table limit in states under the MCO.
“If the table can fit 10 people such as at a Chinese restaurant or a long table where eight people can sit, they can sit as long as there is social distancing. It is no longer two people per table, ” he said.
He said that spas and reflexology centres will also be allowed to operate in areas under the conditional and recovery MCO.
Ismail Sabri also said that a full list of SOPs is available on the National Security Council’s (NSC) website.
The MCO will be extended in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor and Penang from Feb 19 until March 4.
All the other states, Putrajaya and Labuan with the exception of Perlis will be placed under the conditional MCO also from Feb 19 to March 4.
Perlis will be placed under the recovery MCO from Feb 19 to March 4.
