Ismail Sabri: 950 arrested for breaching SOP on Sunday (Feb 7), failure to observe social distancing tops the list of offences


PUTRAJAYA: Police arrested 950 people for breaching standard operating procedures (SOP), where high on the offence list of offences was failure to observe social distancing.

Police took action against 217 for this offence, followed by 209 individuals for crossing borders without permission, not putting on face masks at crowded public places (180), premises operating beyond permitted hours (41), activities at entertainment centres (39), leaving the house without valid reasons (30) and violation of quarantine (15).
