PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 3,048 new cases on Monday (Jan 25), bringing total infections to 186,849, says the Health Ministry.
The Health Ministry tweeted that 3,638 patients had been discharged, bringing the total recoveries to 145,084.

There were also 11 fatalities, bringing the death toll to 689 cases.
Thirteen new clusters were reported.
A total of 261 cases are being treated in the intensive care units and 101 require ventilator support.
Selangor has the highest number of cases, with 1,035 recorded.
Johor witnessed a sudden surge in its daily figures, recording 529 new cases.
This is followed by Sabah with 348 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 305 cases.

Other states that also saw an increase in their daily numbers are Sarawak (120), Penang (110), Perak (103), Negri Sembilan (95), Melaka (90), Kelantan (89), Terengganu (79), Kedah (74), Pahang (46), Putrajaya (22), and Perlis (3)
Labuan did not record any new cases on Monday.
