Body found alongside Sg Endau, Mersing

MERSING (Bernama): The body of a man was found on the bank of Sungai Endau next to the Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM) here, on Sunday (Jan 17) afternoon.

Endau Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Senior Fire Officer II Badrulhisham Mohamad said the department received an emergency call to help lift the body out at 12.29pm.

He said a ‘Light Fire Rescue Tender' (LFRT) with seven firemen on board was rushed to the scene to lift the body of an unidentified man to be handed over to the police for further action.

"The operation ended by 12.53pm, ” he added.

Meanwhile, Mersing District Police chief Supt Cyril Edward Nuing, when contacted by Bernama, said the case was under investigation. - Bernama
