Perak state assembly sitting postponed until Dec 16, says state Speaker

IPOH: The Perak state assembly has been postponed to Dec 16, says state Speaker Datuk Mohamad Zahir Abdul Khalid (pic).

In his announcement, the Speaker said the sitting will resume on Wednesday next week at 2.30pm.

"Given the current situation and under the State Constitution, the sitting will be postponed," he told the August Hall.

"Replies for questions to the state will be given in written form," he added.

Perak Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu had resigned as the Mentri Besar after losing the majority of confidence of the state assembly.

The new Mentri Besar and state government has yet to be formed due to the current political impasse.
