IPOH: PAS has instructed its Perak assemblymen to seek an audience with the Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.
Party secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan (pic) said, in a statement Wednesday (Dec 9), that the assemblymen will go to the palace after receiving a decree from Sultan Nazrin.
"As a party that respects and upholds the sovereignty of the Royal Institution, we always ensure that any matters will be conducted thoroughly and with civility.
"We do not want to make any mistakes in making decisions, especially when it involves a decree by the Sultan," he said.
"We will work and strive with our Perikatan Nasional partner parties to resolve the political crisis prudently and for the future of the religion, race and country," he added.
Perak PAS has three assemblymen, including state party commissioner Razman Zakaria (Gunung Semanggol), Mohd Akmal Kamaruddin (Selama) and Abd Khalil Yahaya (Kubu Gajah).
PAS had reportedly cancelled its meeting with the Sultan on Tuesday (Dec 8).
Razman had remarked that they had nothing to present to Sultan Nazrin and decided to call it off to not waste time.
