IPOH: Assemblymen from PAS and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) have arrived to seek an audience with Perak Ruler Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.
The PAS assemblymen - Gunung Semanggol's Razman Zakaria, Selama's Mohd Akmal Kamaruddin and Kubu Gajah assemblyman Khalil Yahya arrived separately at Istana Kinta - at around 4.45pm on Wednesday (Dec 9).
Bersatu's Sungai Manik assemblyman Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin and Batu Kurau assemblyman Datuk Abdul Yunus Jamhari arrived at 4.42pm.
Bersatu Chenderiang assemblyman and former mentri besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu is said to be in Kuala Lumpur for the ongoing Parliament sitting.
Earlier, Barisan Nasional, Bersatu and PAS announced they have achieved a truce amid the ongoing Perak leadership crisis and nominated Datuk Saarani Mohamad as the next Mentri Besar.
This was announced in a joint statement by Barisan secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa, Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin and PAS secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan.
According to the statement, a consensus was reached by the three parties after a meeting held on Wednesday.
