PETALING JAYA: With the recent announcement made by the National Security Council (NSC) on allowing domestic travel between green zones, Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) encouraged people to grab the special deals and offers by hotels across the country.
“Travellers would need to follow the simple guides prepared by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture yesterday (Nov 23) in order to cross over to other zones as well as for the locals to travel within the green zones, ” MAH said in a statement on Tuesday (Nov 24).
MAH added that with parts of the country still under the conditional MCO, the domestic green travel bubble initiative is much welcomed by the industry.
“Many hotels are offering special deals and promotions targeting the year-end holidaymakers where one can purchase the deals for immediate travel or future use.
“In addition, with the support from Tourism Malaysia, MAH also launched a series of hotel deals via our partner website RoomieTravels.my with discounted hotel stays up to 70%, ” it said.
Malaysians are encouraged to look out for more deals via RoomieTravels.my or directly on various hotel websites as well as their social media postings.
Earlier this week, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri announced the domestic travel bubble as part of Malaysia’s recovery plan.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri had previously announced that those residing in green zone states are allowed to travel starting Nov 22 in order to boost the tourism industry.
