Muhyiddin conveys condolences to family of Gerik MP Hasbullah Osman


Hasbullah yang juga pengerusi Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd meninggal dunia di Hospital Raub pada pukul 7 petang tadi.

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and his family expressed their condolences to the family of Gerik MP Datuk Hasbullah Osman who died on Monday (Sept 16) afternoon due to a heart attack.

Muhyiddin described Hasbullah's death as a great loss as the late Umno politician had been his political secretary when he was the deputy prime minister.

"As a political secretary, he had played a major role in shaping my political journey, a service that I greatly appreciate to this day. We shared many memories. His passing is a great loss to me, '' said Muhyiddin in a post on his official Facebook account.

Muhyiddin also said that Hasbullah was a MP who always raised issues and matters related to the people’s interests, adding that he was also a friendly person and this attitude made him an easy person to get along with.

"On behalf of the government, I would like to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude for Allahyarham’s services throughout his tenure as an MP and also as the chairman of Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB). May Allah the Almighty place his soul among the righteous, ” said Muhyiddin

Hasbullah passed away due to a heart attack at the Raub Hospital on Monday at about 7pm. He was 63.

He was from Umno and won the Gerik parliamentary seat with a 5,528 majority over PAS’ Mohd Dahalan Ismail and PKR’s Ibrahim Mohd Hanafiah in the 14th General Election in 2018.

Hasbullah was also the Temengor state assemblyman from 2004 to 2013. - Bernama
