Wee extends condolences to family of deceased hiker


PETALING JAYA: MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic) has extended his condolences to the family of Aina Nabilah Yusof who met with a fatal accident while hiking.

"I have received the sad news that Aina Nabilah Yusof has passed away after falling into a gorge while hiking on Bukit Banang," he said on his Facebook page on Saturday (Nov 14).

He added that Aina'a parents were friends, who had helped him since he became Ayer Hitam MP in 2004.

"Condolences to Cikgu Yusof and Cikgu Rosnah's family," he added.

Aina, 20, had a fatal fall while hiking on the hill in Batu Pahat earlier Saturday.

A search and rescue mission was conducted after she fell into 80m into a gorge.
