Dr M congratulates NASA, but warns about bringing back 'harmful' elements from outer space

PETALING JAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has congratulated US space agency NASA on the latest success of an ongoing mission, but also urged caution over alien elements brought back from outer space, which he claimed could be “harmful” and “poisonous”.

The 95-year-old former prime minister noted that NASA's Osirex-Rex mission had successfully collected samples taken from the Bennu asteroid and sealed it in a protective re-entry capsule, which will return to Earth in 2023.
