JUST over a year after her divorce, Malaysian singer Fish Leong was photographed sharing a romantic kiss with a new beau in public, reported Oriental Daily.

Her partner was identified as 56-year-old businessman Darwin Lin, who owns a restaurant and a portfolio of companies.

The two were recently seen together at Lin’s restaurant before taking a drive along the coast in Keelung city, Taiwan.

Leong and Lin made several brief stops to admire the scenery and were photographed kissing and hugging each other before heading back to Taipei.

When contacted, Leong’s manager confirmed the relationship, saying there was no point in denying it after the photos came to light.

“We have advised her to continue believing in love and to make more friends. Our company is happy for her, ” the manager said.

Leong reportedly went through a tough time following her divorce with businessman Tony Chau after nine years of marriage.

In September this year, Leong decided to get back into the dating game and went to Lungshan Temple in Taipei to seek blessings from Yue Lao, the deity responsible for matchmaking.

A source close to Leong said the couple met when she dined at his restaurant recently. They hit it off and started dating soon after.

> Huazong (Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia) has urged MPs from both sides of the political divide to unite to pass Budget 2021, the same daily reported.

Its president Tan Sri Goh Tian Chuan said in a statement that he respected the Opposition’s right to reject a government Bill as part of a democratic process, but now was not the time for such a move.

“If the country is embroiled in a never-ending political tussle, it will stall our economic progress.

“The priority right now is to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. We must ensure that the government and civil service can carry out their duties efficiently.

“In the process of drafting the Budget this year, it was the first time in history where leaders from other (non-ruling) political parties were actively consulted and had their views included.

“Huazong hopes the government will include good recommendations and implement them, ” he said.
