Two arrested over illegal dumping at Nilai river that led to water cuts


KUALA LUMPUR: Two men have been detained in connection with the dumping of waste along a river in Nilai, which is believed to have caused the closure of two water treatment plants and led to water cuts in parts of Selangor.

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the two, aged 20 and 30, were detained in Kota Baru, Kelantan on Tuesday (Oct 6).
