Istana warns: Do not use the King’s name to spread fake news for your political agenda


PETALING JAYA: Istana Negara says it takes seriously the misuse of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah’s name or that of the palace to spread fake news for the political gain of individuals.

Comptroller of the Royal Household Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said the Palace was monitoring false statements to the media by several individuals, using the name and photos of the King and the Palace.
