Bangsar restaurant raided, 68 issued compounds for violating recovery MCO

KUALA LUMPUR: The police issued compounds to 65 patrons of a restaurant and bar in Bangsar and three of its staff for violating the recovery movement control order (MCO) following a raid.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Zairulnizam Mohd Zainuddin@Hilmi said the three staff issued with compounds in the Bangsar raid at Jalan Telawi at 10.24pm on Saturday (Oct 3) were the outlet's manager and two workers.

"Those at the outlet failed to practice physical distancing and the management failed to register the patrons.

"The premises did not have a valid licence to operate," he said when contacted on Sunday (Oct 4).

ACP Zairulnizam reminded owners of pubs or bars to adhere to the recovery MCO.

"Failure to do so will result with stern action," he added.

He urged anyone with information to contact the Brickfields police hotline at 03-22979222.
