SANDAKAN: Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin is facing a five-cornered fight in the 16th state elections for the new Lamag state seat in the Kinabatangan parliamentary constituency.
The Sabah Umno chief will be up against Mohd Ismail Ayub from Parti Warisan Sabah, Razman Mayah from Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS), Aal Ruzainie Abdul from Parti Perpaduan Rakyat Sabah (PPRS), and independent candidate Junny Karuak.

Bung Moktar, who’s leading the Sabah Barisan Nasional machinery, is also the Kinabatangan MP.
In total, Sabah Umno, which will be contesting under the Barisan banner, is fielding candidates in 31 of the 73 state seats for the Sept 26 polls.
The seats are Banggi, Bengkoka, Pitas, Tempasuk, Usukan, Pantai Dalit, Karambunai, Darau, Tanjung Aru, Tanjung Keramat, Pantai Manis, Bongawan, Lumadan, Sindumin, Kemabong, Telupid, Sugut, Gum-Gum, Sungai Manila, Sungai Sibuga, Sekong, Kuamut, Lamag, Sukau, Tungku, Kunak, Sulabayan, Balung, Kukusan, Tanjung Batu and Paginatan.
