Lawyer, businesswoman withdraw case against Sabah governor after court decision


KOTA KINABALU: A lawyer and a businesswoman who had earlier filed a judicial review to stop the Sabah state election in view of the current Covid-19 threat have withdrawn their case against the governor Tun Juhar Mahiruddin.

Lawyer Marcel Jude made the withdrawal in view of recent developments which saw the High Court throwing out a case filed by 33 assemblymen against the Tuan Yang Di-Pertua with regard to the dissolution of the state assembly on Friday (Aug 21).
