Maxis launches new brand purpose

KUALA LUMPUR: Maxis has launched its new brand purpose, Always Be Ahead, as it takes steps towards achieving its vision to become Malaysia’s leading converged solutions company.

The brand purpose in bringing together the best technologies to help Malaysians stay ahead was unveiled in conjunction with its 25th anniversary and the upcoming National Day celebrations, signifying the intertwining of Maxis and Malaysia’s journeys together through the ages and in the rapidly evolving digital age.

“The ‘Always Be Ahead’ spirit is about embracing change, growth and discovery, and finding new ways through technology. With our new brand purpose comes a new corporate identity and values that Maxis as a company and its people embody, steering us towards our vision to be the leading converged solutions company in the nation.

“We are making a commitment to all Malaysians, from individuals and families to businesses and entire communities, that Maxis will be their digital enabler and coach to help them leverage the best technologies, ” said its chief executive officer Gokhan Ogut.

To bring the campaign to life, Maxis – via a short brand firm premiered during the launch of its new brand purpose – captured inspiring stories of individuals and social enterprises that have not only demonstrated the possibilities and impact of technology on people’s lives, but also how they have enriched the communities around them.

Moreover, it will be rolling out a series of digitalisation programmes for individuals and businesses throughout the year, while Maxis, Hotlink and Maxis Business customers can look forward to special offers as part of the campaign.

The series of programmes is aimed at providing assistance and fundamental skills for digital adoption and acceleration in various communities across the country to enable Malaysians to harness and leverage the power of technology in the new era.

Among the initiatives that Maxis has planned are Cybersafety with Maxis eKelas, cybersafety and virtual learning programmes for eKelas students at schools and 82 Pusat Internet around the country, as well as Digital 101 for SMEs to guide micro, small and medium enterprises master digital marketing and e-commerce through workshops put together from Maxis Business courses.

Others include the Maxis Internet of Things Challenge 2020, the Maxis Digital Readiness Index interactive tool, the Maxis Business Insights hub as well as the SME Digitalisation Grant and device tips.

As for special offers in celebration of Maxis’ 25th anniversary,

its customers can redeem RM25,000 worth of App rewards from more than 200 deals, including up to RM80 off at Lazada, up to 25% off domestic destinations at Malaysia Airlines and Firefly and RM25 off at Tesco.

Postpaid, Fibre and Business customers will be able to get the latest smartphones at RM25 each for 25 days for selected devices, with the first 250 eligible existing business customers who sign up for the SME Digitalisation Grant eligible for free 250 loyalty points worth RM375.

Hotlink Prepaid customers, on the other hand, will get free 25GB Internet when they purchase any valid HotlinkMU Merdeka deals.
