Immigration Dept to deport and blacklist Md Rayhan


KUALA LUMPUR: The Bangladeshi man, identified as Md Rayhan Kabir, who appeared in the controversial Al Jazeera documentary Locked Up in Malaysia’s Lockdown, will be deported and blacklisted from ever coming to Malaysia again, Immigration Department of Malaysia director-general Datuk Khairul Dzaimee Daud said.“I congratulate all officers involved, for their efforts and commitment, leading to the arrest, ” he said.

He said Md Rayhan was arrested on Friday by a team of Immigration officers from the Putrajaya office at about 5.45pm in Setapak, following two weeks of intelligence work.
