Foreigners can reunite with sick Malaysian spouse if able to show proof of illness

PUTRAJAYA: Foreigners can enter Malaysia to be with their ill spouse if they can present official documentation of their partner's condition to the Immigration authorities, said Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

“If one is a holder of a spousal visa, then you can enter the country without having to apply to Immigration. If not, get documents from the hospital or doctor to support your application to travel into Malaysia. There is no issue for spouses to travel in cases of ill health or death, ” he said on Wednesday (July 8).
