PETALING JAYA: Heavier punishment should be meted out on those who are caught using fake “Datuk” titles for personal gain, says the Council of Federal Datuks Malaysia.
Its vice-president Datuk Abdul Razak Dawood (pic) said the recent incident where a businessman was fined RM2,500 under the Emblems Act 1963 (Act 414) for using a fake title was too lenient.
