Unlimited travel pass MY30 to be rolled out

Help for commuters: News about the MY30 pass has been well received by public transport users.

PETALING JAYA: A new unlimited travel pass called MY30 will be rolled out for users of the Prasarana Malaysia Bhd network in Klang Valley.

To be made available from June 15 until Dec 31, this new unlimited package is an addition to the existing MY100 and MY50 travel passes offered by Prasarana.

MY100 is an unlimited travel pass for 30 days valid on the MRT, LRT, Kuala Lumpur monorail, Sunway BRT, as well as Rapid KL buses and MRT feeder buses.

MY50 covers all buses operated by Rapid KL, with the exception of the Sunway BRT.

Prasarana is expected to issue a statement on the matter today.

News about the MY30 pass has been well received by those who regularly use public transport.

Kelvin Khew, who commutes from Kajang to his office around KL Sentral daily using the MRT, welcomed the initiative.

“This will certainly ease the burden of those who travel by train or bus, ” said Khew, 30, who is a current user of the MY100 pass.

“Any new travel pass is always good as it offers more choices to consumers.

“I certainly welcome it, regardless of our preferred mode of public transport, as it will help the people to commute easily, ” he said.
