14 days for a safe discharge

PETALING JAYA: Covid-19 patients who still tested positive after 14 days of hospital treatment can now be safely discharged following the latest World Health Organisation (WHO) data, which showed they could no longer infect others.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this was a change from the previous protocol where patients were kept in hospitals as long as they were tested positive on the 13th day.
