Perikatan chiefs meet Kedah RulerSultan presented with SDs proposing MB candidate


PETALING JAYA: Three party presidents of Perikatan Nasional met Kedah Ruler Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah to present 23 statutory declarations (SDs) from state assemblymen proposing a new candidate for the Kedah mentri besar post.

PAS secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan, who was present at the meeting at Istana Kedah in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, said the presidents of Umno, PAS and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) informed the Sultan that their parties agreed with the candidate that had been named in the SDs to replace Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.
