MACC: Govt expected to recoup assets worth over RM460mil in Riza Aziz case

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The Federal Government is expected to recover overseas assets worth an estimated US$107.3mil (RM465.3mil) in the money laundering case involving Riza Shahriz Abdul Aziz (pic), the stepson of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) said in a statement Thursday (May 14) that the prosecution had applied to the court for Riza to be given a discharge not amounting to an acquittal over several charges made on July 5 2019 at the Sessions Court here.
