Three new names added to Esscom Most Wanted list


KOTA KINABALU: Three new names have been added to the Eastern Sabah Security Command’s (Esscom) wanted list.

The three are Mamay Aburi, Basaron Arok dan Alvin Yusof @ Arab Puti.

Esscom commander Datuk Hazani Ghazali said Mamay is the chief of a Zamboanga group involved in the shooting of Customs officials in Lahad Datu on Dec 20 last year.

“Basaron Arok is the chief of a kidnap-for-ransom group called the Ajang-Ajang group while Arab Puti is part of Apo Mike’s kidnap-for-ransom group and was involved in the Tambisan kidnapping in January this year, ” he said.

He said this brings the total number of wanted persons in Esscom’s list to 21, and added that all of them are believed to be suspects behind the kidnappings in Sabah’s east coast.

Hazani said that these suspects are believed to be still active but hiding, waiting for an opportunity to strike.

The others in Esscom’s wanted list are Abu Sayyaf leaders Salip Mura dan Hatip Hajan Sawadjaan.

Another on the list is Idang Susukan, who is said to have been behind the beheading of Sarawakian Bernard Then Ted Fen who was snatched from a seafood restaurant in Sandakan in May 2015.

The others are Apo Mike @ Majan Sahidjuan; Al Munjir Yadah; Raden Abuh; Marajam @ Manajan Asiri; Sangbas @ Anjang; Hamsan Pakkan @ Black Cobra; Sabri Madrasul @ Salip Jul; Ben Tatoh Quirino; Titing Alihasan @ Iyot Panday; Jul @ Jun Hasan; Jul Aksan Abdurajan @ Halimaw; Tampi @ Bunju; Long Sahirin; Halip Ibrahim serta Haibin Mubin @ Apo Kuhambo.
