Covid-19: 84 new cases, 95 recovered, death toll now at 89


PETALING JAYA: Another 84 new Covid-19 cases have been reported, bringing it to a total of 5,389 cases as of noon Sunday (April 19), says the Health Ministry.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 95 recovered Covid-19 patients, bringing the total to 3,197 cases.

"A total of 46 cases are being treated in intensive care units (ICU) and 26 of those cases needed ventilators," said Dr Noor Hisham during his daily press briefing on Sunday.

He noted that one more death has been recorded, which brings the death toll to 89 in the country.
