KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Bar is calling upon government agencies including the Inland Revenue Board (IRB), Customs Department and Land Offices to exercise fairness in dealing with applications or requests by lawyers for time extension on payments owed during the movement control order (MCO).
Its president Salim Bashir said the agencies must be cognisant of the present difficulties as lawyers attempt to fulfill their legal and administrative obligations on behalf of their firms and clients despite not being able to go to their offices.
