KUANTAN: The order for the early closure of all business premises will now be extended statewide in Pahang.

State secretary Datuk Seri Dr Sallehuddin Ishak said the state government had agreed for local authorities to impose closure of all premises from 7pm to 7am daily.

Premises such as 24-hour convenience stores, petrol stations and kiosks, as well as drive-throughs were all included.

The order will take effect on Tuesday (March 24) to March 31 or until the movement control order is rescinded, said Sallehuddin.

"Local authorities must carry out strict enforcement to ensure the order is complied with," he said.

Previously, the order was only applied to six districts as an additional measure to curb the spread of Covid-19.

As of Monday (March 23), there were 56 reported Covid-19 positive cases in Pahang.
