PETALING JAYA: All higher education institutions (HEI) in the country can continue teaching and learning activities via e-learning.
This is provided all students have access to the Internet, lecturers and the required infrastructure, said the Higher Education Ministry.
"We do not want any students to be left behind due to their lack of access to the Internet.
"We take note of the level of readiness of some HEIs in terms of their infrastructure, lecturers, online teaching and learning programme with Open and Distance Learning license," it said in a statement Friday (March 20).
The ministry was referring to reports on the suspension of all teaching and learning activities, including e-learning, in all public and private higher-learning institutions in the country.
It reminded HEIs that face-to-face teaching and learning were not allowed.
