Perak PKR rep denies talk of crossover to Perikatan

IPOH: Talk of Perak Pakatan Harapan assemblymen crossing over to Perikatan Nasional is all just political games played up by the Opposition said state executive council member from PKR Tan Kar Hing, believing that it was all part of “psychological warfare”.

“I strongly deny these allegations. I believe they’re to let Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu or the relevant people know that Umno or Perikatan could still form the state government even without him (Faizal) or Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, ” he told reporters after a working visit to the Ipoh Tourist Information Centre here yesterday.

“But if there is enough majority, they would have long gone to the Perak palace and get the statutory declarations signed.”

There have been talks of three Pakatan assemblymen switching sides to join Umno and PAS form the state government.

DAP’s state exco members Paul Yong Choo Kiong and Dr Abdulul Aziz Bari have also denied they would quit their parties.

PKR’s Kuala Kurau assemblyman and state exco member Datuk Abdul Yunus Jamahri has also denied leaving the party.

Tan, who is state PKR vice-chairman, dismissed such talk as fake news.

“There are no signs our assemblymen will join the other side.

“I believe it is fake and created by the other side, but by who, I am not sure, ” he said, adding that Pakatan leaders held a meeting on Monday to discuss the current situation.
