PUTRAJAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad held a series of meetings with leaders of political parties as the guessing game on the country’s political crisis continues for the third day.
Dr Mahathir met with leaders of seven political parties and will be meeting Parti Warisan Sabah today.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) issued a statement confirming that Dr Mahathir held discussions with political leaders, including PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
His office said the interim prime minister also met DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and PBB president and Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and Amanah president Mohamad Sabu.
“Dr Mahathir also held a meeting with (former PKR deputy president) Datuk Seri Azmin Ali. He is expected to meet Parti Warisan Sabah president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal tomorrow, ” said the PMO.
