Most open houses in Penang to go on despite virus scare

GEORGE TOWN: As the novel coronavirus scare continues, several Chinese New Year open house events in Penang have now come under scrutiny.

One such event is Eastern and Oriental (E&O) Bhd’s Chinese New Year open house scheduled on Feb 16, which was cancelled following a notice by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to declare the coronavirus outbreak a public health emergency of international concern.
