Stop indiscriminate cutting down of trees

Recently, a total of 16 mature trees were unceremoniously chopped down near the junction of Jalan Persiaran Forest Heights 1 going into Forest Park in Precinct 1 of Forest Heights, Seremban. These trees were planted more than 10 years ago when the Forest Heights housing project was under construction.

When I asked at the office of the developer why the trees had been cut down, I was told that it was for public safety. I was flabbergasted by the reply. Surely the cutting down of trees, whether it is for public safety reasons or not, on a public road is not the task of the developer. It is the job of the local authority.
