Johor Education Dept probes sexual grooming allegations against school principal


JOHOR BARU (Bernama): The Johor Education Department is investigating claims that an award-winning school principal in the state is allegedly involved in sexual grooming of a male student.

Its director Azman Adnan confirmed that the department is investigating the allegations.

"I am investigating this viral issue, ” he said briefly via WhatsApp when contacted by Bernama, here, Thursday (Jan 9).

Asked on what kind of action the Education Department would take if the allegations were proven true, he said: "It will depend on the investigation.”

Azman was commenting on claims by an activist that a secondary school principal in the state was allegedly involved in sexual grooming of a male student.

The principal, who recently received an outstanding award, was also accused of sending obscene messages to the student, which has since gone viral on social media. - Bernama
